K-Pop fans’ hearts are breaking everywhere after popular girl group 2NE1 announced their disbandment in November last year.
Yet CL, Bom, and Dara won’t be leaving their fans hanging as they will be releasing one last song as a finale to their 7-year career as a girl group under YG Entertainment.
The song, entitled “Good Bye”, will be released on January 21.
YG Entertainment released the following statement:
“2NE1 was disbanded without even saying goodbye to their fans, and through the new single, the group will express how sorry they are.”
YG also said that 2NE1 has been the agency’s signature girl group for 7 years, and they are “deeply saddened to let them go”.
CL and Dara have been signed up as solo artists under YG Entertainment, while Bom did not renew their contract with them. Minzy left the band in April 2015.
