The girls of former Kpop girl group 2NE1 surprised fans last Friday, January 22, after they had their first face-to-face reunion in a long while!
Sandara Park shared their photos on Twitter where she and the rest of the girls, CL, Bom, and Minzy, were together to celebrate Minzy’s birthday on the evening of January 21. “The members all got together to celebrate maknae (youngest member) Minzy’s birthday!” she wrote on the tweet.
“We went to hang out at CL’s studio. Since it’s [our] 12th birthday as 2NE1, there are 12 candles.”

“It’s so great when the members meet up,” Sandara added. “I feel at ease and keep laughing, and I have a good time. My members who keep growing and growing. You’re so cool!”
The other girls also posted the same photos on their individual Instagram accounts, delighting Blackjacks all over the world.
“Thank you for your birthday wishes,” Minzy wrote in the caption of her own post.

2NE1 is considered to be one of the many idol groups that blazed the trail for Korean bands today, releasing hit singles such as “FIRE,” “I Don’t Care,” and “Don’t Cry.” They officially disbanded in November 2016 before releasing their final single “Goodbye” in January 2017.
