Words by Mara Karniella Sugue

The Philippines is not selfish in its natural resources, and it’s something we should all appreciate. And what other way to admire what we have by hiking different summits in the country? Surely, the feeling of getting to the top of the mountain summit as you see the view is irreplaceable. And so, here are 10 Philippine Summits to Satisfy Your Wanderlust.

10. Mt. Pulag, Cordilleras

As Luzon’s highest peak, Mt. Pulag offers you a breathtaking scene. There are different trails you can take going up. A recommended one is the Ambangeg Trail since it is considered the easiest, but if you’re up for a challenge, feel free to take on the other trails!

9. Mt. Pinatubo, Zambales

Known for its disruptive eruption back in 1991, Mt. Pinatubo’s summit proves that it is more than its disaster.

Its hike is not as challenging as others, so if you’re looking to jumpstart your summit adventures then this is it!

8. Mt. Sapari, Rizal

Standing at more than 500 meters above sea level, Mt. Sapari is just one of the places you can hike in Rizal. It’s also connected to other mountains, so you can hit two (or multiple) birds with one stone if ever you’re planning to climb this summit!

7. Mt. Marami, Cavite

The reason why this is called “Marami” is because of the many composite rock pillars it has. This summit is definitely one to go to if you’re looking to get one of those Instagram-worthy shots!

6. Mt. Nagpatong, Rizal

This beautiful rock formation consists of two limestone cliffs and gets its name from how it looks. At the top, you get a wonderful view of some parts of Metro Manila. Certainly, this isn’t one for the faint of heart!
