For those who have families, sometimes it can be hard to find family-friendly venues for special occasions like Halloween. No matter what your age is, everyone loves to have an excuse to celebrate, and the added fun of dressing up makes Halloween especially great for kids. However, Halloween is still an up-and-coming holiday in the Philippines, and there aren’t a lot of options.
Most Halloween parties will be at bars or clubs, not exactly places you can bring your children for a night of fun – and not always filled with family-friendly costumes being worn, either. While Halloweenย is sadly already over for this year, if you like to plan ahead, Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay is a wonderful place to spend the holiday, no matter how many kids you have in tow!
Each year on October 31st, Taal Vista Hotel puts on a special Halloween event that is geared towards people with children, although anyone really can join! With a different theme each year, Taal Vista keeps things fresh. This year’s theme was Lil’ Monsters’ Mansion, and the venue was decorated to delight in a wonderfully spooky manner!
When we arrived, just minutes after the party started, everything was already in full swing! You can be sure that your kids will have a great time as there were endless games to play throughout the entire evening. The night started with a classic game of “Bring Me” and was followed up by a costume contest for kids of all ages. There were several other games for the kids to enjoy throughout the night, and great prizes were given out for the winners – and sometimes even the kids who didn’t win as no one wanted to see sad kids on Halloween.
Everyone truly got into the Halloween spirit with amazing costumes! We especially loved the handmade costumes that obviously had a lot of effort put into them. We even ran into Anna and Olaf while we were wandering around!
It wasn’t just the kids who were dressed up though, even adults were getting into the festive spirit! I spotted Freddy Krueger and practically ran across the room to ask him for a photo. He was kind enough to pose with me, and I walked away very happy.
