This coming September 4 to 8, 2018, the E.T. Yuchengco College of Business students, faculty and staff will celebrate their college week with the theme “Synergy: Embracing Diversity.” The celebration will be highlighted by 6 major events: Parade of Floats, Sportsfest, Academic Day, Ultimate Performer, Mr. and Ms. ETYCB 2018, and ETYCB Masquerade Ball.
Following the theme of the popular movie ” The Greatest Showman,” Parade of Floats will kick off the week-long celebration as the three organizations under ETYCB namely: HOTELS, JPIA and YES will showcase their creativity as they dress up and portray the characters in the movie. After the parade, there will be a Flashmob to really heighten the ETYCB spirit as the college week opens. The preliminary eliminations of the Mr. and Ms. ETYCB will also happen on the same day which will be composed of Sportswear Attire Competition and the talent portion. In the afternoon, Sportsfest finals will take place as the players of each organization compete for the championship for Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Frisbee, and other popular indoor games.
September 5, Wednesday, the aforementioned program organizations will hold their Organization Day. Each organization has prepared different fun activities such as academic competitions and teambuilding activities to celebrate their organization day.
Day 3 of the week will be the Academic Day of the college week. Art Exhibit with the theme “The Other Side: Appreciating the Art of Diversity” will be held to showcase the artistic side of the ETYCB students. A seminar, Ultimate Quiz Bee, Family Feud, and Recognition ceremonies for dean’s listers and special awardees will also take place. In the afternoon of the same day, one of the highlights of the week, Ultimate Performer will be held. It is a yearly competition which showcases the talents of students and faculty as they sing, dance, and act the classical movies that they will portray. The night will end as the new Mr.
and Ms. ETYCB 2018 will be hailed.
September 7, Friday, marks a history for the college for the most awaited first ever ETYCB Masquerade Ball outside the campus will be held. With the theme “A Million Dreams”, dreamers will share their dreams for the world. This will be a night of elegance, entertainment, and success for awarding ceremonies will happen during the night. The event will take place at Chateaux De Paris, South Forbes, Sta. Rosa, Laguna from 4:00 to 9:00 pm. Together as one ETYCB, the night will be filled with shared dreams of achieving excellence and greatness.
Finally, the week will end with teambuilding activities prepared to boost the spirit of unity among the students. This will happen on the 8th of September, Saturday. Boodle fight, fun games and activities will be prepared to end the celebration of the college week.
