Synapse 2018: a health hackathon of UP MSSR-IPPNW and HealthHacks PH

1 Event Poster

Similar to how a synapse is the site of communication between two neurons where electric nerve signals can be transmitted, a hackathon is an avenue of collaboration and creation of innovative solutions.

Synapse 2018 is organized by the UP Medical Students for Social Responsibility – International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (MSSR-IPPNW or MSSR), together with HealthHacks PH. As an organization of medical students for the promotion of advocacies that address the different facets of health, the event is being held with the aim to bring modern healthcare solutions to the communities.

The overnight competition is open to all Senior High School and University students. Participants will be able to learn from guest speakers, workshops, and mentoring activities to help them build on their own ideas and develop a prototype of an innovative solution for current problems.

People from different disciplines and backgrounds are invited to form connections in a stimulating environment to find solutions to multifactorial issues.

Registration with a fee of Php 350 can be accomplished at https://tinyurl.com/Synapse2018Registration.
