WHEN IN MANILA, dressing up is always fun. There’s just something magical, almost powerful about putting on a beautiful piece of clothing. Whether your bank account is worth 50 pesos or 50,000 pesos, a beautiful piece of clothing can make anyone feel absolutely priceless.
As the Rebecca Bloomwood of Manila, I’m always looking for new clothing brands that are worth all the rage. And found one I did. Recently, I came across Surco. Surco is a clothing brand that carries pieces that are just to die for. The designs are so chic, classic, yet very current.
One of my favorite pieces from Surco is this pleated peachy maxi. This maxi dress reminds me of the Halston maxi that Carrie Bradshaw wore in one of the scenes in Sex and the City 2.

I’m so in love with this dress that I just had to wear it to meet the cast of Glee (you can read all about my Glee-ful encounter with them here.)
Another favorite piece of mine from Surco is this blue floral top.
I love how the top seemed simple, almost conservative at the front and sexy at the back. Who knew a girly floral piece can turn out to be one sexy piece.
What I love most about this top from Surco is how despite the va va voom cut at the back, it remains classy and no way near trashy.
