Sugar Coast Beach Bash: Summer Party in the Sands of Southern Negros!
This summer the crystal clear waters and beautiful beaches of Southern Negros come alive once again play host to ground stomping music, beautiful people and good times for a great cause. Punta Bulata Resort & Spa provides the backdrop for the impending return of the annual BEACH BASH of Negros Island on Friday, May 16th and Saturday May 17th, when the festival will once again fill Southern Negros’ beautiful
beaches with waves of awesome music. This year’s festivities features music by stage filling bands and DJs including Motherbass, Synima, Quest, Jessica Milner, Katsy Lee, Never the Strangers, Deep Sphere, DJ Euric, as well as, popular local artists like The Wicked Tarsiers.
Since 2005, the Beach Bash has brought together people from all around the islands and all walks of life to listen to great music and have a good time. For the past 5 years, there has been an empty space on party-philes, beach lovers and sun worshippers summer event calendar in Negros and the neighbouring islands. This year, we have returned and we’re coming back strong!
This extraordinary event is filled with a variety of music, food, merchandise vendors and activities for kids of all ages, the young and the “young at heart”. But this year The Beach Bash will grow and evolve to highlight the ever-expanding tourist destination of Southern Negros including the white sand beaches and hidden coves of the Sipalay coast. Also, as part of our commitment to eco-tourism and the preservation of the coastal and marine environment, part of the proceeds from the event shall go to The Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation and the Danjugan Island Marine Reserve and Sanctuaries and non-profit foundation dedicated to the preservation of marine and forest resources.
The Sugar Coast Beach Bash event is a Musical Festival that will be held on the grounds of Punta Bulata Resort & Spa, themed with the fusion of The Rio Street Party Carnival and the Ozora Festival of Hungary. Activities of the festival include trips to Danjugan Island Marine Reserve, Underwater activities like snorkeling and diving, Island Treks, Morning Yoga, Fire Dancing and Paraw Sailing.
The Sugar Coast Beach Bash aims to encourage and stimulate the youth’s musical culture across different musical genres.
Provide opportunity for local musicians and artists to develop their careers, to be heard and to perform with professional musicians.
To promote tourism in Negros especially the rapidly growing tourist destination of Southern Negros (Kabankalan, Sipalay, Hinoba-an).
Generate awareness for the Danjugan Island Marine Reserve and Sanctuaries and the Philippine Reef and Rainforest Conservation Foundation for their advocacy of marine conservation and the protection of its terrestrial and marine species.
The company actively pursues the objective of bringing in tourists to this area of growing popularity. The event will make people aware of the many activities, beautiful beaches, and exquisite resorts in Southern Negros, but it will also help build awareness on the need to protect and save the island from unauthorized fishing activity and for wider conservation efforts.
