STRUMFEST 2013: Own The Moment
On the 17th of November 2013 (Sunday), a number of amateur bands from various colleges and universities within Metro Manila would come together at SM Megatrade Function Rooms A and B at SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City for the first ever festival that celebrates acoustic music amongst the youth and for the benefit of the impoverished children of ABS-CBN Foundation’s Bantay Bata 163. It’s a charity-concert extravaganza called “ STRUMFEST 2013 ”.
And the driving force why STRUMFEST 2013 is strongly advocating mainly towards the youth is because it’s organized by within the youth as well – the college students of the Social Entrepreneurship module of the Entrepreneurs School of Asia, formerly Thames Business International School. An event by the youth, among the youth, and for the youth – that’s STRUMFEST 2013.
It’s not only a charity event intended to help others per se, but it’s also a day of owning a moment at one of the country’s most renowned venues since the participating bands of STRUMFEST 2013 would have the opportunity of winning Php50, 000.00 in cash as the competition’s grand prize. They all just need to come up with their own acoustic cover of any contemporary pop song – either OPM or mainstream foreign – and win the hearts of the judges and the audience.
Ticket price is at Php300.00 per head. For further details of STRUMFEST 2013, feel free to visit our official page www.facebook.com/strumfest2013 or contact Ms. Marian Pascual at (0942) 249-09-08. Come and join us, and who knows, you might own a moment yourself!
