For over 60 years now, Republican College (a community college in Cubao, Quezon City) has been serving the Filipino youth with its mandate to provide equal opportunity for education. U! Happy Events is an NGO that provides sustainable support and teaches values to marginalized children.
Over 4 million Filipino youth are out of school. It’s a heart breaking reality and we all ought to take a stand against it. Our GOAL in 2016 is to raise scholarship funds for street youth. Take them out of the streets, away from drugs and syndicates, and offer them a community where they can learn to dream for themselves and their families.
On 28th of May 2016, Saturday at 7pm at Greenfield Grounds, Mandaluyong, Republic College and U! Happy Events together with our media partner WhenInManila.
com and activity partner, Calle Baclaran will feature Filipino artists headed by Up Dharma Down and other bands to raise and multiply resources to put street children to school through STREET! concert for street youth. These funds will be channeled to He Cares Foundation, a street children caring centre. Street will also have other street activities like art mural, face paint and street magic.
We aim to attract 1,000 attendees on the said fundraiser event on top of the 1,000 regular attendees of Greenfield Market. More information at www.uhappyevents.com/street.
