A photo of the cutest prom-posal ever has gone viral on Twitter, when a straight guy asked his gay best friend to the prom!
The gesture was done by Jacob Lescenski, a 17-year-old high school student from Nevada, who asked his best friend, Anthony Martinez, who is gay, to the prom… with some effort, no less!
The huge banner, laid out by the high schoolers’ friends, read: “You’re hella gay, I’m hella str8, but you’re like my brother, so be my d8?”
According to the Huffington Post, as a member of the student council, Anthony is often tasked with planning school dances, but has never been asked on a date. Jacob saw Anthony’s tweet about wanting a date to the dance, and since he had originally planned on going alone anyway, decided to ask his best friend out and came up with the poster.
Anthony later showed his gratitude on the gesture through a Tumblr post:
The photo on Twitter currently 6,831 retweets and 12,066 favorites.
This kind of compassion is just heartwarming.
