The next stop of the mission was along mid-most part of Bonifacio High Street. Two of the assigned photographers, Sir Emil and Francis, recounted to us after the first part of the mission that security guards were actually calling on their supervisors. “Sir, may mga naka-freeze po dito sa plaza.” It was really quite funny.
For the first mission, I was standing up, but for the second one, I chose a comfortable spot on the grass. When everything seemed ready, the Master Agents gave their cue and again, we froze.
Different people, same reactions. I had to stop myself from laughing or looking amused. There were dogs around and little kids imitating the many poses we did. A Kodak-ing round once again commenced and there seemed to be more people around for the second one as compared to the first.
After the second longest five minutes of my life, we sprung back to life as if nothing happened. You’re all welcome, and that’s all folks!
After Project Awesome PH’s very first and highly successful mission, Francis and I had dinner with some of the Master Agents. We were generously treated to a round of Filipino food at Cabalen by Sir Paul, the brains behind this quirky organization. According to him, all the participants of this Freeze Mob would be invited for their upcoming missions, which they aim to be monthly events
Different ideas and plans for mobs such as flash mobs, surprise giveaways, instant musicals, slow-mo mobs, zombie parades, etc. are still in the works. So watch out for their next awesome surprise!
