Philippine senator and legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao is reportedly in negotiations to fight British fighter and former sparring partner Amir Khan.
According to a post on his Twitter account, he said, “my team and I are in negotiations with Amir Khan for our next fight. Further announcements coming soon.”
In January, Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum was widely quoted as saying that Pacquiao would fight Australia’s Jeff Horn in April. However, the boxer’s camp said that nothing had been confirmed yet.
Although there are no confirmations yet, what’s sure is that Pacquiao will have another fight as he tweeted earlier in February, “see you in UAE for my next fight. #TeamPacquiao.”
Last year, Pacquiao announced his retirement from boxing. However, he made a successful comeback when he beat Jessie Vargas in Las Vegas in November.
Pacquaio said that he was retiring previously to focus on his role as a Philippine senator.
Who do you think will Pacquaio’s next opponent be?
