Sorok Short Film Festival: A Film Festival for Everyday Heroes

Sorok Uni Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization for Persons Affected with Leprosy (PALs) and homeless street people, launched the 5th Sorok Short Film Festival this 2019 with the theme HERO’S TALE. This is in line with the objective of the foundation to raise awareness on various social issues through film making.

This year’s theme has been chosen to exhibit stories of ordinary people with extraordinary experiences of heroism and valor. The deadline of submission of entries is on or before September 30, 2019. Finalist screening and Awarding Ceremony shall be held on November 30, 2019 at SM City Manila Cinema 4.

Sorok Uni Foundation and its partners, thru Sorok Short Film Festival, will be giving away One Hundred Thousand Pesos (P100,000.00), Thirty Thousand Pesos (P30,000.00), Ten Thousand Pesos (P10,000.00) as cash prizes for the Major Awards. There are also minor awards such as Special Jury Prize, Voter’s Choice Award (based on online voting), Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress.
