To honor Spiral’s 10th year, Sofitel launched A Decade of Spiral: Celebrating a Journey of Taste, the restaurant’s first cookbook featuring our favorite dishes from Spiral!
The cookbook spans 40 recipes featuring different cuisines, and we love how they look simple to make, with ingredients that are available at your local market and favorite specialty store. You won’t see ingredients that are hard to find or pronounce here!
Some of the recipes include Spiral favorites such as the baked camembert, pan-seared foie gras, the cashew and pumpkin nougat, and the chocolate lava cake.
The recipes were chosen by Spiral’s culinary artisans in partnership with Executive Chef Denis Vecchiato, and are divided into 10 sections: salads and vegetables, pork, chicken, fish and seafood, duck, beef, lamb, cheese, dessert, and wine. There’s also interesting shots of the ingredients, as well as the final product.
The wine section has a list of the usual suspects, and is a handy guide for tasting and pairing. The descriptions are easy to read and understand, and won’t intimidate the aspiring connoisseur.
The recipes are perfect for those who want to elevate their meals at home. With this book, you can have a taste of Spiral right at your own home!
