It is made from fresh alamang  and  spices; a bottle weighs about 240grams and made in the factory in Balanga City, Bataan. There are other 3 variants of the Shrimp Paste: Original (which is best for cooking), Sweet and the Spicy.

Another Bataan product made at the humble abode  of Mang Willy in Morong, Bataan. Their product is always fresh because they only make it when an order comes in. The texture is smooth and creamy, made from pure cashew nuts, thus many of their customers are repeat ones. What sets this product apart from most commercial products is the dedication and love Mang Willy’s family give. They are a poor family who still uses a very old desk as an oven to make these products. Kudos to you and your family, Mang Willy! 

 

Willy’s Cashew Butter is very affordable at P150 for 180g | P300 for 380g. A bottle usually lasts for about 8 months in room temperature before opening. 

  

Willy’s Cashew Butter has the same texture of  a peanut butter, creamy yet not as sweet as a Peanut Butter. Warm, nutty, inviting smell greets you  upon opening up a jar. Excellent spreadability on  crackers. Expect lots of good, honest cashew flavor.

Adobo Ni Mama
 
Sofish, Inc. newly-launched product which is also made by a family in Balanga City. Tasty and tender pork meat steeped into a rich and pungent sauce- that’s what Adobo Ni Mama is all about. The Adobo recipe has been with the family for decades and because it is constantly and repeatedly requested by the family and all the people who had the chance to try it,  the Matron, Mama Agnes Gurbuxani, decided to put it into business. The Adobo was an original recipe from Mama Agnes, of course  taught by her own mother.

The sauce is thick and as what their first time-customers said it, “Sauce palang, ulam na.” Adobo Ni Mama is pasteurized for 30 minutes before it is stored in a glass bottle, sealed and a plus is that it can last from 4-6 months in room temperature. 
 
  
This is a dish or an ulam that is so convenient. Yes, anyone who knows how to cook adobo has their own unique style. It may be considered common but the most important ingredient to any adobo is its “character”. Adobo ni Mama has taken a modern way into this old recipe, or shall I say it has a distinct taste. The meat, aside from being tender has a caramelized taste, sauce got the balance of sweet and salty;  such great flavour profile encased into this jar of adobo goodness.
