So Mayor Vico Sotto Finally Responded to that Viral Zoom Video Call ?

Vico Sotto Zoom

Earlier this week, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto’s Zoom video call with the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP) went viral, but not for the reasons you might imagine. Instead of attracting attention for his plans for Pasig City (which are always well thought of), the call went viral because one of the attendees had a not safe for work background of a nude man.

Now, Sotto has reacted to what happened when he tweeted about a new Zoom video call with Senator Win Gatchalian. He said, “#atm. Zoom Conference with Sen. Win, mayors, and policy experts. Discussion centered on ECQ exit strategy. Kailangan maayos ang plano- mula transportasyon hanggang testing.” [“Things have to be planned properly — from transportation to testing].

He ended his tweet with a cheeky postscript: “P.s. Thankfully, this Zoom Conference, walang participant na nag-background ng naka-BOLD.” [“Thankfully, this Zoom conference, no participant had a background in bold.”]

Gatchalian responded to the tweet, saying, “Akala ko naka-bold sa kwarto ko. Hehe. Mahirap pala itong teleconference. Kitang-kita kama mo. Baka may makita pang iba sa likod.” [“I thought my room was in bold. Hehe. Teleconference is hard. Your bed can be seen. You might see something else at the back.”]

Sotto then replied, “Kahapon po kasi may hindi kanais-nais na background yung isang participant. Nakakatrauma ng konti.” [“Yesterday, a participant had an unsavory background. It was slightly traumatizing.”]
