Years ago, I used to buy what was “uso.” Like many of us, I also spent a lot of money just to experience newer features and higher specs.
Unfortunately around 3 yrs ago, my new tablet got stolen in Makati which made me feel so depressed…. I remember paying over 30,000php for that latest model from a popular brand. My hard earned 30,000php gone in just a snap! The feeling sucked big time.
After that traumatic experience, it got me really thinking…. Should I go for that same expensive brand again or should I take a risk in finding a new brand that I can trust and a smartphone that truly fits my lifestyle. And so I wrote down the features which were vital to me:

1. Long Battery Life: With my “always on the go” lifestyle, I can’t really afford to stop and charge. I also dislike carrying heavy powerbanks and lots of gadgets. I pack light on travels so I bring only the important ones.
2. A reliable Phone Camera: Since I’m into photography and blogging, having a good reliable camera phone is truly a must.
3. A phone with a Big Screen: Since I always need to write and update posts on social media, I like phones with big screens so my eyes won’t have a hard time in looking at photos and typing.
4. Must have very good specs & fits my budget: I’m so done with high priced brands ‘coz usually, I think I’m just really paying for its name and not really the features. I believe it was high time for me to look for another one that performs as better at a very reasonable cost.
And so after hours of looking, I finally decided to go for my first ever Huawei smartphone. It was an Ascend Mate 1. When I learned it had over 4,000mAh, I said, “SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY NOW!” lols Seriously, I was impressed not only with its looooooooong battery life but with its features that time which were at par with the leading brand’s 32,000php worth model…. I got my first Huawei for only 18k that time.
I was super satisfied with my new phone that I never thought about buying anything else. Everything I ever needed in a smartphone was there! Took it with me everywhere I went. Perfect for people who love adventures!
Last year, when I decided to upgrade my phone, I immediately went to the nearest gadget store to check their new models and fell in-love with the Media Pad X1 which was on sale that time for only 16,000php!! It had 5,000mAh battery, a bigger brighter screen, bigger internal drive space of 16GB and 2GB ram memory. Beat that! You’ll never get those specs at that price!

Even if my Honor 3C Lite only has 2000 mAh battery, I’m surprised that I still never go “bitin” with its performance!
Up to now, no matter how many iphones or Samsung models have launched, I continue being a REAL and Loyal Huawei Honor user. Why? ‘Coz I know I’m getting a lot of value for my money. I get the same features (ever more) and same durability like the expensive ones plus a whole lot more battery life than the rest, freeing myself from heavy expensive powerbanks, thus making my life even more productive!
3 years ago, I took a brave risk not to conform with the usual, because I knew in my heart I deserved much much better. And yes, it definitely exceeded all expectations. When I made that brave switch, I never looked back! Truly #ForTheBrave!
