Slayer Slayed the Pulp Summer Slam XIX for the Last Time

Sometime last year, Slayer announced last year that they would embark on their final world tour before taking a bow for good from performing and saying goodbye to the thrash metal world. After their 2017 concert here in Manila, they came back to perform at our shores one last time. What made their comeback special is that the Philippines was the only Southeast Asian stop of their world tour and I am 100% sure that Filipino and international fans wouldn’t allow themselves to miss that.

Metalheads all over the country didn’t wanna miss this historic event. As they headlined Pulp Summer Slam, they were accompanied by other hardcore metal bands such as Remnants, Sog, Lostthreads, Sin, Her Name In Blood, Emmure, Sikth, and Thy Art Is Murder.

This was definitely one of the biggest metal concerts in our country and probably in Southeast Asia. Slayer was expected to play their hit songs Angel of Death and Raining Blood. Aside from the concert, merchandise was sold at the event venue. Pulp Royalty pass holders also got the chance to enjoy the ultimate VIP treatment with complimentary baggage service, a souvenir laminated ID, a Pulp magazine, an official poster, a PSS19 festival shirt, a DSLR pass, priority queue, unlimited food and drinks, access to royalty snake pit, and a meet and greet with the bands, even giving them the chance to get souvenir items autographed by Slayer.

Pulp Summer Slam‘s Pulp Royalty tickets were sold out pretty early, and there’s no surprise as to why. At Amoranto Stadium, we all got to bang our heads to give honor and tribute to Slayer. Read more about it in our upcoming articles!
