LOOK: Six Japanese Films Will Stream for FREE As Japan Film Week Goes Online

Japan Foundation Manila is bringing another round of Japan Film Week online by screening six Japanese films completely for FREE!

The organization announced this year’s second Japan Film Week schedule, pegged in the month of July. It has yet to reveal which films will be chosen.

It was just last February when it held the first Japan Film Week, spearheaded by the Film Development Council of the Philippines, at the Cinematheque Centre Manila. Some of the movies screened then were Weathering With You, When The Promised Flower Blooms, Dad’s Lunchbox, and Okko’s Inn.

We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for future news and announcements regarding this event. For now, block off the dates July 22 to 26 on your calendars!

Japan Film Week is a spin-off of the foundation’s well-loved Japanese Film Festival, or EIGASAI, which has showcased dozens of beloved Japanese movies and anime to Filipino audiences. EIGASAI has also been postponed to later this year, but there is no word yet on when it will be and what changes will be made to adapt to the new normal guidelines.
