Singapore is known for its vibrant food and drink scene, and one event that truly showcases the best of both is the Singapore Cocktail Festival. The festival has just concluded its 9th year, leaving visitors with unforgettable memories and experiences. While we may have to wait another year for the next one, that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the city’s fantastic cocktail offerings.
The festival kicked off with a massive 7400 sqm Festival Village at the iconic Bayfront Event Space, where visitors could sample nearly 100 cocktails from around the world at an unbeatable price of S$15 each. The outdoor brand zone featured pop-ups by renowned brands like Hendrick’s Gin, Malfy, and Monkey Shoulder.
In addition to the Festival Village, 45 of Singapore’s leading bars participated in the City Takeover event, offering innovative libations priced at S$18++ each. Visitors could purchase City Takeover wristbands to enjoy thematic cocktails at all participating bars. The calendar also included bar takeovers, cocktail brunches, and workshops.
The festival was presented in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board and supported by the official festival hotel JW Marriott Singapore South Beach and official ticketing partner Chope. Early bird passes started at S$40. All-day passes included a City Takeover wristband, which could be used at participating bars from May 5 to May 21 to enjoy SGCF signature cocktails at a discounted price of S$18++.
Although the festival has come to an end, Singapore’s thriving cocktail scene is still alive and kicking. With dozens of amazing bars and restaurants across the city, you can easily embark on your own cocktail crawl and explore Singapore’s innovative libations. So don’t miss the next Singapore Cocktail Festival, and in the meantime, shake things up by exploring the city’s best cocktail spots.
