Munimuni, an indie folk band based in the University of the Philippines Diliman, is set to release their first extended play (EP) this month.

The EP launch ‘Simula’ will debut under MARILAG Records and Productions and will be held on March 17, 2017, 8 p.m., at Amor Bakery, Katipunan Ave., Quezon City.

Other artists who will be performing in the EP Launch are singer-songwriter Clara Benin and alternative rock band Kamara.

The prices for the tickets to the launch are P250 for the early-bird promo (inclusive of a meal and EP reservation), and P300 for the walk-in door price. As of the moment, the early bird tickets are sold out, with only 100 slots provided for the first batch. There are also limited copies of the EP, which will only be sold during the launch.

Munimuni is a band formed in 2014 by Adj Jiao, Red Calayan, John Owen Castro, and TJ de Ocampo. Blending Filipino poetry, indie pop and folk melodies, they write songs in a genre they’ve now come to call MAKATA POP. Together they have performed at various art events and concerts such as Dreams 2015 (presented by DOXA, Logos, and Upward Project), Clara Benin’s Riverchild EP Launch and Coming Home concert (presented by Stages Sessions), and Free Fall 2016 (UP Diliman Feb Fair).
