Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation have released the trailer, featuring Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Pinocchio, and Shrek’s daughter, Felicia.
And guess what? Zendaya is joining the voice cast as Felicia, alongside Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz!
“Shrek 5” is set to premiere on December 23, 2026, marking the first installment in the main series since “Shrek Forever After” in 2010.

Based on William Steig’s 1990 picture book of the same name, the “Shrek” franchise began in 2001, followed by “Shrek 2,” “Shrek the Third,” and “Shrek Forever After.”
The films follow the adventures of Shrek, a grumpy yet lovable green ogre who prefers solitude in his swamp—until he’s forced to rescue Princess Fiona to reclaim his home.
