Who doesn’t love shopping? What more when it’s for free?
Enter The Street Store. It’s a one-day pop-up store that enables the less fortunate to shop for the things they need (and actually like) with the same dignity and option as customers — free of charge of course!
It’s stocked entirely by your donations, and found entirely on the streets. Your discarded reusable items will find new life as they make their way into the lives of the needy through an experience they rarely get.
So here’s the good news: The Street Store is popping up in two locations on July 28. With two Street Stores to stock, there are loads more customers coming in, and this may be where you enter the picture.
You can either donate reusable items to stock the Street Store, or volunteer as a Street Store Assistant.
Street Store Assistants give the customers the attention and assistance they need as they go through their options. If you’ve got time to spare on July 28, sign up at www.creategood.ph/streetstore. The Street Store is open from 7 am to 12nn.
Aside from time, you may have other things to spare too. They accept a range of donations from clothes to shoes, books, toys, and houseware. Just make sure they’re still in good enough condition to be used by someone else.
[Tip: Paper bags and hangers help create a great shopping atmosphere for the customers, so definitely toss them into the pile]
If you choose to volunteer, you can donate on the day itself. Another option would also be to send it over to their designated drop off points:

Contact: Abelle
Available on weekdays, 8 am to 5 pm

So what are you waiting for? It’s time to declutter that closet, and spring clean your home. Create space so you can create some good!
