Shed The Post-Holiday Pounds With Krav Maga Philippines’ Intensive Self-Defense Training

Undeniably, I was one of the weaker students, but what makes training at Krav Maga Philippines so great is that it functions on both an instructor and peer-training system.  This means that, under an instructor’s watchful eye, senior students pair off with beginners and help them master the basic techniques.

Krav Maga Cobra Commander Black Team!  AWOO AWOO!  (That made no sense, yeah.)

The guy who was pummeling me earlier is seventeen-year-old Rehum, who, despite being younger than me, is several levels up.  He, Lean, myself, and Arman–our newest member–form what I’ve come to nickname as the “black team,” owing to the frequent moments when we form a united, black-shirted front.  Rehum is a higher level than Lean (but Lean’s been training longer), Lean’s obviously senior to me, and I’m the newbie who is still technically more senior to Arman (don’t know if you caught that).  The varying levels of training make for an excellent variety in training, where at any point someone more senior is helping train someone more junior (or, in the case of Lean and Rehum, just trying to one up each other).
