30-year-old actress-vlogger Melissa Ricks is getting married!
Filipina anchor Gretchen Fullido announced the big news on her Instagram account when she shared photos from the proposal by Melissa’s non-showbiz boyfriend Michael Macatangay.
“My dearest @mellyricks09 & Michael Macatangay are engaged!!!” she wrote. “The intimate surprise engagement happened in Batangas & witnessed by close family and friends.”

The engagement was documented by local events photography company, Nice Print Photo, and styled by celebrity events stylist Gideon Hermosa.

It was only in late 2019 when Melissa revealed her relationship with Michael to the public. Back in November, she greeted him on his birthday and called him her “answered prayer”, although she did not initially share with fans and friends his name.
“Happy Happy Birthday my Love.!!! You are my answered prayer. Thank you for showing me how love is supposed to be, for taking care of us and I Cant wait to see what the future holds,” she said. “I hope and pray that all of your hopes, prayers and dreams come true, that you find peace, happiness and success in all you do. Melissa’s last public relationship was also with a non-showbiz boyfriend, chef and businessman Charles Togezaki, who is the father of her daughter Kiera.
