The beloved children’s television show is coming soon to Netflix. New episodes, along with 90 hours of previous episodes, will be released on the same day on its longtime broadcast home—PBS stations and PBS KIDS platforms.
This shift comes after Warner Bros. Discovery’s decision not to renew the program on its streaming platform, Max, which is set to be rebranded as HBO Max.
“The support of Netflix, PBS, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting serves as a unique public-private partnership to enable Sesame Street to continue to help children everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder,” “Sesame Street” noted in its announcement.
Spanning over 50 years, “Sesame Street” has consistently captured the hearts of both children and the young at heart across multiple generations. Its beloved cast of characters includes Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Ernie, Bert, Grover, and Abby Cadabby.
