A Live-Action ‘Aladdin’ Sequel is Reportedly in the Works, and We Want to See Aladdin’s Hot Dad

Following the success of the 2019 live-action reboot of the Disney classic Aladdin, Disney is reportedly planning on creating a sequel.

Nothing much is known about the sequel—what it will be about and whether the main stars will be on board with it—but after reading a Polygon article on it, we can’t help but agree: we want to see Aladdin’s hot dad in it.

If you are unfamiliar with Aladdin’s dad Cassim, he was introduced us in the third animated Aladdin movie titled King of Thieves. The story was inspired by the tale of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and is as action-packed, angsty, and emotionally ridden as you’d hope it to be. Plus, Cassim is easily one of the hottest animated Disney characters ever created and it would be a crime not to make him known to this new generation of kids.

Just look at him:

He’s got the looks of a hot, clever middle-aged father who (spoiler alert!) only cares for his own intentions no matter who he manipulates to get there. We’d love to hate him!

It even makes sense for this to be the live-action sequel because this film featured an entirely new soundtrack unlike the forgettable animated Aladdin‘s sequel, The Return of Jafar.

If ever Disney does grant us our wish, we can only hope it does him justice and present us with an even more beautiful world beyond the gates of Agrabah.
