We got to interview the lead stars, Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Ye-ji, recently via an online press conference, and found out how they felt about each other before and after filming.

Soo-hyun (who plays Moon Gang-tae in the show) admits that there was a sense of awkwardness and difficulties between him and Ye-ji at the very beginning. “Obviously, as one tends to be around people you meet for the first time,” he explains. “However, as we began to really transform ourselves into our roles, we really had to spend a lot of time together. I feel like we have quite a comfortable chemistry between us now. And so I hope you can enjoy our chemistry on-screen, as well.” He also shares that Ye-ji is actually very comfortable as a person, but is extremely focused when acting as Ko Moon-young. Because of this, he “gets energy and stimulation”. “I’m studying, thanks to her,” he adds.

Ye-ji, on the other hand, says that her first impression of everyone was similar to their personalities in real life. She agrees that it was comfortable to be around Soo-hyun. “I would say that from my very first day, he has been very considerate of me,” she shares, “so I feel like our chemistry started off and continues to be quite good. I think I would even go as far as to say that he has been the best partner that I’ve had!”

He gives me energy and helps me, so he was similar to my first impression,” she gushes. From a press conference in Korea; Park Kyu-young (who plays nurse Nam Joo-ri in the show) also gushes about both Soo-hyun and Ye-ji, who were very considerate and helpful to her during filming. “I never thought I’d be able to see them in person and act with them,” she beams.

What do you think of their chemistry on the show? 🙂
