11. The La Scala in Milan, Italy. Built in 1778, it is one of the leading opera and ballet theaters in the world, and has seen some of the best singers around the world perform. The interiors alone are worth a visit.

15. The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, USA. The bell plays a significant role in American freedom during the Cold War, and was a site of protests in the ’60s. Note the crack of the bell, which has its own storyline and urban legends.

17. The East Side Gallery in Berlin, Germany. The German city is known for its thriving street art scene, and one of its most important places is the East Side Gallery, a memorial for freedom set in what’s left of the Berlin Wall.
18. The Manneken Pis in Brussels, Belgium. Who would have thought that a tiny statue of a young boy peeing in a fountain is one of a city’s most iconic landmarks? The Manneken Pis is a bronze sculpture dating back to 1618 0r 1619, and is dressed in costumes several times each week, like as a judo and a sailor.
19.The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen, Denmark. Like the Manneken Pis, the Little Mermaid is one of Denmark’s most famous icons, and shows the mermaid in Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale of the same name.
20. Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh, UK. Arthur’s Seat is the main peak of a group of mountains, which author Robert Louis Stevenson described as “a hill for magnitude, a mountain in virtue of its bold design.” The view is spectacular.
