A new Korean drama is coming out soon called ‘Dinner Mate’, and it will be based on a popular webtoon of the same name. ‘Dinner Mate’ revolves around a man and a woman who have both become sick of love because of previous heartbreaks that they have experienced. After having dinner together, however, they start to find love over food.
Song Seung-heon will be playin the role of Dr. Kim Hae-kyung, a psychiatrist and food psychologist; and Seo Ji-hye will be playing the role of Woo Do-hee, a producing director of an online show.
The two stars of the drama aside, we can also look forward to several cameo appearances, including Tae Jin-ah, Kim Won-hae, and (a Filipino favorite!) Sandara Park! Sandara Park will apparently make a cameo as a woman with an eating disorder who turns to Dr. Kim Hae-kyung for help.
Trot singer Tae Jin-ah will also appear in the drama, playing a vital role as himself. Kim Won-hae, on the other hand, will portray a man who hides his deep emotional pain from everybody around him.
‘Dinner Mate’ will premiere in Korea on May 25. Let’s hope we’ll get to watch it here in the Philippines soon, too!
