His name-a Borat, and he’s officially coming back for a sequel!
Acclaimed Hollywood actor Sacha Baron Cohen has secretly filmed the second installment of his R-rated 2006 comedy, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, and is already being screened “for a select few industry types,” according to an exclusive report on Collider, possibly to look for a studio to back the project.
Not much is known about the plot of the sequel, but it seems that it will follow the fictional Kazakh journalist going “undercover” to interview people, now that he is widely known and recognized by the public.
It seems, though, that not a lot of people are surprised by the news especially since Cohen had been making headlines the past few months for his public pranks that many thought were for his Showtime series Who Is America? He was, however, captured on video one day speeding down the highway in his Borat costume, effectively sparking rumors of the sequel.
And now, it’s official and we can’t wait for it to premiere!

Borat had been a box office success when it was released worldwide and Cohen went on to win the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for it. It was also nominated in the 79th Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay.
