Sabrina the Teenage Witch recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and it’s making us feel old.

The hit show ran for seven seasons from 1996 to 2003.

It followed the adventures of Sabrina Spellman, a teenager who balances her secret life as a witch with school, homework, and her love life. It starred Melissa Joan Hart as the titular character and she was joined by Caroline Rhea (Hilda), Beth Broderick (Zelda), Nick Backay (Salem), Nate Richert (Harvey), Alimi Ballard (Quizmaster), David Lascher (Josh), Soleil Moon Frye (Roxie), Elisa Donovan (Morgan), Jenna Leigh Green (Libby), and Lindsay Sloane (Valerie).

To celebrate its 25th milestone, Hart posted a little tribute on Instagram with some photos.

She said, “It’s been brought to my attention that 25 years ago today Sept 27, 1996 our show first aired on ABC for 7 seasons. The little engine that could we called it since it was in the shadows of the largely anticipated show #Clueless but it persevered and we got to steal @reddonovan to come over to our fun cast.”

Hart added, “tons of talented guest stars, musical acts and magic tv tricks over the years. Full of friendships and crazy memories, it was an incredible ride to be sure! Thanks for the love and support to help us do what we love to do, make people smile!! Happy #SabrinatheTeenageWitch Day!”

Some of the guest stars who appeared on the show were RuPaul, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Coolio, Usher, and Paula Abdul. Wow, typing that list made us feel even older.

The magical world of Sabrina was introduced to a new generation of fans with the Netflix series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. It was developed by CW (also the same studio that developed Riverdale) and was darker than the show starring Hart.

The show was eventually canceled after four seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A comic book series that will cross over with Riverdale will start publication in October. It will be called The Occult World of Sabrina.
