Deadpool changed the superhero genre and made it more fun again. And it worked: it became the highest grossing X-Men film and critics praised lead Ryan Reynolds’ performance. That’s why when it was announced that there’s going to be a sequel, everyone got excited.
Slowly, details about the sequel are trickling on social media, beginning with Josh Brolin’s announcement that he will join the sequel as Cable, complete with his first photos in character.
This was followed by Ryan Reynolds sharing the first photo of the sequel, showing Deadpool lying outside the X-Mansion, rumored to be part of the second film. In true “Merc with a Mouth” fashion, Reynolds captioned the photo with “Dropped by X-Mansion. Looked closely for Beast’s lawn bombs before taking well deserved nap.”

Now, Reynolds is back to leaking more information as he just shared the first photo of Zazie Beetz, in character as Domino. In the photo, Domino is lying on top of Deadpool, with the caption “Some people just know how to work a red carpet.”
Reynolds, Brolin, and Beetz will be joined by Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna in undisclosed roles. Kesy will be playing a villain, rumored to be Black Tom Cassidy.
Deadpool 2 will premiere sometime in 2018.
