At 46, Ruffa Gutierrez is a firm believer in the saying that it’s never too late to do the things you want to do in life. Because of this, she has proudly revealed that she is going back to school to pursue a bachelor’s degree!
On Instagram, the actress opened up about this new milestone in her life.
“You’re never too old to chase your dreams,” she began on her post. “I am both humbled and excited to share with you that I am currently enrolled in the Philippine Women’s University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Communication Arts under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).”

“After 34 years of working in the entertainment industry, I have chosen to further my education. Not only do I want to fulfill a long-held dream and take control of the next chapter of my life, [but also] I want to set a good example for my children,” she added.
“I hope you can support me in my new journey.”
Many of her celebrity friends and fans expressed their support for her in furthering her education, including Kath Bernardo, Nicole Andersson, Sarah Lahbati, Sunshine Cruz, and Isabel Oli-Prats.
Ruffa has been in the local entertainment industry since her teenage years. She was among the cast of German Moreno’s variety show “That’s Entertainment” in the 90s and also joined the Miss World beauty pageant in 1993, where she finished second runner-up. Her most recent projects include “Love Thy Woman” on TV5 and the online series “The House Arrest of Us.”
