In lieu of Rizal Day 2015, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) is treating commuters with free rides on the LRT1, LRT2, and MRT3 railways.
Aside from free rides, there will be lectures, tertulia, poetry reading competition, light and sound presentation and guided tours, free medical and optical services, Filipino games exhibition, and fireworks display for the observance of Rizal Day.
A flag-raising and wreath-laying rites will be held at the Rizal National Monument in Manila. President Benigno S. Aquino III will lead the said activity. Joining him are the National Historical Commission of the Philippines Chair Maria Serena I. Diokno, Exec. Dir. Ludovico D. Badoy, and other officials from various government agencies.
