Their Hainanese Chicken Rice comes in two versions: Poached and Roasted, both of which ooze with flavor from the different Asian spices that were used on them. The chicken is still the star of the show, though. It comes with a serving of delicious chicken broth, flavored rice and your choice of homemade chili sauce or Scallion ginger sauce. Personally, I preferred the roasted version below because the chicken skin on it has a more robust flavour compared to the poached one above.

True to the word of heritage, their Singaporean Laksa is something to try. The firm vermicelli rice noodles, the coconut milk that makes the said dish creamier and more flavorful, and the blended flavors of the sweet and fresh prawns, fish cake eggs and bean sprouts all give the dish more oomph. It simply awakens the senses and the spiciness is just right – not too hot and not too mellow, making you crave for more.

Another thing to try at Heritage Hotel’s Riviera Cafe is their Nasi Goreng. Eto young dish na tipong kanin pa lang, ulam na! Their fried rice, which is flavored with sambal and a slightly tangy and sweet and spicy part upon first bite, is really what sealed the deal for me. This dish is also served with a fried chicken drumstick that has similar flavors to our Inasal chicken: a couple of sticks of chicken satay, pickled vegetables at the side and topped with a serving of egg, sunny side up.

For dessert, I had a slice of their “Cake of the Month”, the Holiday Hazelnut. It is heaven upon first bite. Sweet chocolate ganache sitting on an alternate of chocolate hazelnut filling and bittersweet chocolate sponge cake. I actually moaned when this slice of heaven touched my lips; and because of this sinful temptation, you have to understand that one bite will never be enough, so make sure to hit the gym after indulging, okay? Hahaha!

Heritage Hotel is also having a few events to celebrate the holiday season like a Children’s Christmas Party, and you can celebrate New Year’s eve with them, as well.
