Asia’s songbird couldn’t help but be in awe of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray as the beauty queen gave a speech to the crowd during a concert at the Philippine Arena organized by Frontrow.
In a video uploaded online, Regine Velasquez was caught smiling and staring at Catriona during the entirety of her speech.

A lot of Filipino netizens started sharing the clip and expressing how much they could relate to Regine’s facial expression. Some have even started making memes out of it!
When asked what she was thinking about at the time when she was staring at Catriona, Regine explained that it was because she was stunned by Catriona’s beauty and singing talent.
“I was telling her that I didn’t know she sings,” she told ABS-CBN News. “I actually told her, ‘continue singing, ha.’ And then she said ‘Yeah, I really want to learn more, I want to sing.’ Sabi ko, ‘Go! The best teacher is your experience. So just keep singing.'”
