Titled Seoul Girls, the film will follow a Korean-American high school student who, together with her friends, joins a worldwide talent competition to perform as the opening act of the world’s biggest KPop boyband. With the help of an ex-member of a British girl group and former KPop trainee, the girls will eventually find their voices and share them on the world’s biggest stage.

Seoul Girls will be written and produced by Rebel Wilson herself, so expect a lot of similarities with the Pitch Perfect movies.

The project has already been picked up by American studio Lionsgate so it’s no question that this film will have a theatrical release. When that release will be has yet to be announced.
