As narrated by Rechelle, the old man’s name is Manny. He is 71 years old. Rechelle reminisced how physically strong Manny was back then. Unfortunately, due to old age, his bones became stale. He looks like he is having a hard time walking. In the video Rechelle shared, it showed how hard it is for Manny to haul his tools for work. Rechelle also shared that when she asked Manny how much he gets for the day, he said: “kwarenta” or P40 (approximately $0.89c).

Watch the video below:

Manny “Magpapayong”

I know this old man seems to be familiar with you specially those people who are living around Queensrow-Camella Springville and Greenvalley, Molino, Bacoor Cavite

(Thank you for taking time to read this)

Way back then, I remember how strong this man is while carrying his tools used for repairing broken umbrellas (shoes and bags too). This is his job. Probably, until now he’s still doing this tough job despite of his age/condition and that’s why he called himself as “magpapayong”. He didn’t gave us his last name and wants us to know him as the ‘magpapayong’ instead.

His name is Manny, 71 y/o. Nakita namin siya nagpapahinga sa isang tabi bago siya umuwi and took the chance to approach him. We observed him and he really looks so tired and sick. He’s so different from the last time we saw him a few years ago.

As you can see in the video, ganyan na siya maglakad. But we can’t do anything to let him stop kasi yun ang ginagawa niya para mabuhay sa pang araw-araw. We asked him how much did he earned that day and he proudly told us “kwarenta”.. *heart-breaking scene!*

Kaya If there’s anything that we can do for him please don’t hesitate to make it happen. Let’s help and pray for his safety and health.

God Bless you tay Manny! Saludo kami sainyo.

According to the Netizen, she doesn’t know where exactly Manny lives. There’s no contact number too in case someone wants to reach out to him. Although, the old repairman could possibly be seen in the following areas:

-Greenvalley
-Gawaran
-Queensrow (Area A, Area B, Area S)
-Camella Springville (North/West)
-Gardenia (Hanggang Jollibee Molino)

In the Philippines, the ideal retirement age is 65 years old. Manny is 71 and still working like he is supposed to. I know this is the only way he can eat but if you happen to see him, please give extra. I’m sure a little amount is more than enough for his family.

God Bless you, Manong Manny.
