Six days after Glee star Naya Rivera went missing, her body has been found.
She and her four year old son Josey went to Lake Piru last Wednesday and rented a boat. Reports say that Josey was found alone, sleeping. Later on, he said that he and his mother went swimming, but that she was not able to get back on the boat. Josey told investigators that he saw her disappear under the water.
Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said, “We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera,” and added, “there is no indication of foul play or that this was a suicide.”
Following the news, Rivera’s co-stars at Glee wrote touching tributes to the actress:
Lea Michele, who played Rachel Berry, posted a series of Instagram Stories showing Monteith, Rivera, and other castmates. Rivera was found on the 7th death anniversary of Monteith.

If you were friends with Naya Rivera, you simply can’t. Her brilliance and humor were unmatched. Her beauty and talent were otherworldly. She spoke truth to power with poise and fearlessness. She could turn a bad day into a great day with a single remark. She inspired and uplifted people without even trying. Being close to her was both a badge of honor and a suit of armor.
