You’d think that a business tycoon of John Gokongwei, Jr.’s level wouldn’t have time for a TV series like On the Wings of Love. After all, as the second richest entrepreneur in the Philippines, with businesses in telecommunications, financial services, petrochemicals, power generation, aviation, and livestock farming, he’s busy running his empire.
But Gokongwei reveals on Facebook that he is a fan of the show, saying that OTWOL is the only show he has followed every night.
According to him:
“Kapag mahal ka, Babalikan ka”.
That is the only line that I will never forget in this show. To be honest I’m a fan of this teleserye even if i’m a business tycoon, this is the only show i’ve ever followed every night. A simple but unique and realistic type of story, it was really impressive. This is the most unforgettable finale of the best “Kilig-serye” ever on Philippine Television. I want to congratulate ABS-CBN and to the whole cast and crew of On The Wings Of Love.
Finally, My deepest gratitude and congratulations to Mr. James Reid and Ms. Nadine Lustre. You guys are truly phenomenal and reminds me of Rogelio dela Rosa and Carmen Rosales. Thank you both for allowing me to fall in love with Clark and Leah’s story. I’ve read in the newspaper that you both are in a romantic relationship, I wish you all the best on your real life love story. Indeed, “May Forever”. I am looking forward to your next teleserye. OTWOL is a rom-com TV series that tells the story of Clark and Leah, who are forced to marry to legally stay in the US. As time passed, the two fell in love. The love in the show followed in real life, as actors James Reid and Nadine Lustre recently admitted to being a real-life couple, too.
The show ended on February 26, with a live viewing party at the Ynares Stadium.
