READ Actor and Former Governor ER Ejercito Claimed He Was Cheated in Laguna

It looks it’s not just in movies that ER Ejercito is fighting the bad guys. He also wants to fight bad guys in real life. According to the actor and former governor, he was cheated of the governor position in this year’s elections, and he wants to make it right.

In his Facebook post, he claims that the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) did not remove his son Jorge Antonio Ejercito’s name on the ballot after withdrawing, thus confusing the elder Ejercito’s supporters.

According to his post:

It is very unfortunate for me that COMELEC has again hit me hard for the second time since they removed me as the duly elected and legitimate Governor of the Province of Laguna last May 26, 2014 because of an overspending case using a TV ad document with a fake signature as evidence from ABS-CBN Channel 2. COMELEC disqualified me so fast, I wasn’t given my day in court and I wasn’t able to defend myself. COMELEC immediately swore in their Liberal Party ally Vice Governor Ramil L. Hernandez.

This year, COMELEC, again, favored Ramil Hernadez by not removing the name of my son Jorge Antonio Ejercito from the list of candidates on the ballot, which unfortunately created a lot of confusion, and spoiled ballots from my loyal supporters because most of my voters shaded both Jorge Antonio Ejercito and Emilio Ramon Ejercito and the other voters did not vote because of confusion. My son Jorge Antonio Ejercito withdrew from the gubernatorial race as early as November 23, 2015 (last year) while printing of ballots was in February 13, 2016 (this year). Even the service of the notice that the withdrawal of my son was not honored by COMELEC, which was done more than two months after the said withdrawal. This was intentional delay on the part of COMELEC that is clearly designed to clearly keep the name of my son on the ballot to confuse my voters and deprive me of my lawful mandate.

Ejercito then cited an example when COMELEC fixed presidential candidate Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago’s party name.

COMELEC was able to fix Miriam Defensor’s Party Name on the ballot but why didn’t COMELEC remove the other Ejercito on the ballot? Most probably another order from Noynoy Aquino to take me out the second time because I am not a member of the Liberal Party.

The Province of Laguna did not have fair and clean elections because COMELEC’s “Oplan Asiong” was successful to take me out for the second time. The Province of Laguna should be given a second chance to vote fair and square. I am aggressively calling for a recall election. I will surely win and beat Ramil Hernandez who I already defeated in the May 2010 elections by more than 210,000 votes.
