The police have identified the victim as the executive judge of Taguig City RTC Branch 74, 41-year-old Hon. Judge Bernard Bernal.

Before Judge Bernal started his work out session in a Pasay city gym, he decided to place his personal belongings inside his locker. Thinking it would be safe to leave his valuables, he started his work out session at around 3:45 p.m.

After finishing his work out session, Judge Bernal went back to retrieve his belongings from his locker. Unfortunately, he saw that all of his valuables have been taken.

Bernal then immediately reported the theft to the Pasay police for investigation. According to the police, there was no closed-circuit television (CCTV) installed in the gym’s locker area.

The stolen items included his wallet, a credit card, a P275,000 worth diamond ring, P40,000 cash, his driver’s license, and his Integrated Bar of the Philippines card.
