An auction house just sold a rare Harry Potter book in London for nearly 100,000 US dollars, and we can hardly believe it.
The book had been one of the first edition prints of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone which the Bonhams Auction House claims there are only 500 copies of left in the world. The edition was owned by JK Rowling’s very first literary agency.
The rare book contained several typographical errors, including a misspelling of “philosopher” at the back cover and a repeated item in Harry’s list of required school supplies.
Whoever won it must have really been a hardcore Harry Potter fan.
