RACJourn 2019: For the Youth, For the Filipinos

Wake up the blood of a writer in your body as “RACJourn 2019: For the Youth, For the Filipinos” calls campus journalists to showcase your journalism skills that will happen on the 16th of February 2019 at Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts Senior High School in Scout Torillo, Quezon City.

The thirdRACJourn Campus Journalism contest focuses on the theme, “The Role of Campus Journalism in Combating Fake News.” The main objective of this event is to enhance the aspiring young writers’ skills in journalism at the same time stress the importance of campus press in combating fake news on different media platforms.

The contest is conducted and organized by the Rotaract of RCDM Scholars and ELJSHS Student Council. The said competition invites both public and private junior and senior high school students to be participants of the event.

Participants may choose in seven individual categories (Php 300p: News Writing, Editorial Writing, Feature Writing, Sports Writing, Editorial Cartooning, and Photojournalism (all in English and Filipino categories). Contestants may also be in a group (Php 400) for the Best School News Paper.

The registration fee is inclusive of participant’s kit, pre-contest workshop materials, lunch, certificates, prizes and other giveaways from our sponsors.
