Following Rachelle Ann Go’s marriage to entrepreneur Martin Spies in 2018, the couple has bought a home in London.

The stage actress and singer told the press, “Ako ‘yung nagre-research during the morning. Iyon ‘yung ginawa ko for a year, hanap ng hanap ng bahay tapos kapag may maganda, I will show it to the husband. So when we saw this house, we viewed it on a Sunday sabi niya, ‘This is the one, this is it.”

She also shared the challenges of looking for a home. “Mahirap pala, mahirap bumili doon. It is not easy because of Brexit as well. Ang daming paperwork na kailangan and talagang alam mo ang prayers talaga sobrang powerful. Sobrang bait ni Lord kasi hindi ko naman akalain na makakabili ako ng bahay doon kasi mahirap talaga maghanap and naka-tiyempo talaga kami.

Rachelle went on to describe the home, saying, “We really prayed for two-bedroom house pero itong house na ‘to parang four-bedroom, three-bedroom and a study room, naka-bonus pa nga eh tapos may garden, which that’s actually [my husband’s] priority kasi he is South African and he loves to grill.”

Their new home was turned over to them last December.

Rachelle started her music career when she won in the TV competition Search for a Star. She has seven multi-platinum albums under her belt, but she became an international theater star in 2014 when she was cast as Gigi van Tranh in the West End revival of Miss Saigon. The following year, she was cast as Les Miserables‘ Fantine, a woman who turns to prostitution so she could provide for her daughter Cosette. Go essayed the role when the musical was staged in Manila.

She has also performed the role of Gigi in the Broadway revival of Miss Saigon. She has portrayed the role of Elizabeth Schuyler-Hamilton in the West End production of Hamilton.
