Queen Elizabeth is Looking for a Social Media Manager... and Will Pay P3 Million a Year

Think you’re social media savvy? You’re probably who Queen Elizabeth II is looking for.

Earlier this week, the British Monarchy posted a job opening for a Head of Digital Engagement, where the selected employee will “engage a worldwide audience with the public role and work of The Royal Family. Joining this fast paced and dynamic team, your challenge will be to lead on and develop our digital communications strategy, and ensure that we make effective use of a range of digital platforms to support these aims.

The position will pay £45,000 – £50,000 (P3,016,503.79 – P3,351,670.87) per annum, depending on experience.

Besides posting online content for the Queen, the employee will:

Digital and editorial leadership to a small team of digital media specialists, drive the content strategy of our newly launched website, and work with colleagues across the organisation to continuously improve our digital presence.

Whether you’re covering a state visit, award ceremony or royal engagement, you’ll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences.

The employee will handle the Twitter accounts of the British Monarchy (@BritishMonarchy), Kensington Palace (@KensingtonRoyal), and Clarence House (@ClarenceHouse), as well as the British Monarchy’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Some perks include: “a comprehensive benefits package, including a 15% employer contribution pension scheme, 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays, free lunch and access to training and development to support your continuous professional development.”

And of course, bragging rights!
