More #ProudPinoy moments have come our way for our homegrown artists to Hollywood! With the premiere of film ‘Crazy Rich Asians’, based on a novel written by Kevin Kwan, we’ve always kept our eyes out open for Filipino talent to be a part of such production!
We spotted two versatile actors in show business that took their talents from home to Los Angeles!
Of course, we have the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino. With a role in the film, we can’t get any more excited to see her scene, based on a teaser she uploaded on her Instagram page with Constance Wu, who will play the film’s lead character, Rachel Wu.

The Proud Pinay vibes pretty much radiated in the modern Filipiniana gown created by Filipino designer, Michael Leyva. She is donning her family’s signature shade of yellow.
She really took Filipino talent off with her to the red carpet!

Another Filipino made it to the movie – comedian Nico Santos! Santos will play fashion designer Oliver T’Sien, a key character in the film.

Santos is also spotted donning a pin of the Philippine flag! Even if he moved to Los Angeles a few years back, Santos is still very much a Filipino by blood and at heart.
“As a Filipino actor, I’m very proud to be a part of the cast of this big Hollywood movie,” Santos says in a video uploaded by Philstar.
Rappler reports that the movie premieres August 15 in the United States and August 22 in the Philippines.
