On July 20 until August 28 of this year, the youth-run initiative Project Agapay 2020 will hold Duyan ng Pag-ibig, a fundraising project aiming to collect a minimum of Php 21,000 to donate necessities and supplies for the abandoned and neglected children (0-4 y/o) and abused women (11-17 y/o) of CRIBS Foundation Inc in Antipolo City, Philippines.
Project Agapay 2020, now on its second outreach project, stays true to its vision of providing aid to the needy sectors of the community as well as advocating for the act of helping fellow citizens. Duyan ng Pag-ibig is a fundraising project established by a group of college students consisting of 3 main initiatives, the Donation Drive, Publication Campaign, and an Income-Generating Project.
Duyan ng Pag-ibig donation drive is open for everyone who wishes to give monetary donations for supplies such as food, vitamins, milk, and diapers for Cribs Foundation Inc. Details of the drive can be viewed on their social media accounts. Additionally, the team will be launching their very own income-generating project in the hopes of closing in on the initial target of Php 21,000. This gives an option to the kind hearts who want to support the cause by giving them the chance to donate while buying worth-the-price merchandise. All of the profit from the income-generating project shall be combined with the donations to reach the target amount. Lastly, a social media publication campaign will be launched not only to earn funds for the drive but also to inform and entertain the supporters of Project Agapay. These three initiatives have been carefully prepared by the team to encourage more people to share their resources to help others in need and to raise awareness on the different issues of society that deserve recognition.
The college students who founded project Agapay are not alone in this project. Together with them are the organizations that made Duyan ng Pag-ibig possible. Their major organization partners: SINAG-Sining Agapay, UP Aggregates Inc., Samahan ng Kabataang Boluntaryo ng Pilipinas, UP Manila Belle, The Hope Project, PUP Mathematics Club, AIESEC University of the Philippines Manila, and Ateneo Management Information Systems Association. While their minor organization partners are Sangguniang Kabataan ng Santa Lucia, Pasig City, Sangguniang Kabataan ng Dela Paz, Pasig City, and Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter, and official media partner is WhenInManila.com.
